D’Avolio, Michael D. of Winthrop formerly of East Boston on July 13th at the age of 76. Beloved husband of the late Angela (Delorfano) D’Avolio. Devoted father of Michael D’Avolio and his wife Eleanor of Andover, Elle Salli and her former husband Robert of Winthrop and Caroline Sciortino and her husband Sal of Danvers.

Dear brother of Eugene D’Avolio of Billerica. Cherished grandfather of Crista, Jake, Sal Jr., Jacquelyn and Amanda. Family and friends will honor Michael’s life by gathering on Thursday July 19th at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home 971 Saratoga St., East Boston from 8:30AM to 9:30AM before leaving in funeral procession to St. John the Evangelist Church Winthrop St., Winthrop for a 10:00 AM Funeral Mass in celebration of Michael’s life.

Services will conclude with Michael being laid to rest at Winthrop Cemetery. Michael was a retired Boston Police Officer. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.

He will be missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
