Adam’s Obituary Adam S. Orlowski, age 85, of Plover, died on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Ascension St. Claire Hospital in Weston. He was born on November 28, 1933 at the family home, in the Town of Dewey in Portage County. A son of Joseph and Martha (Kawleski) Orlowski.

Adam attended and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1953. On September 6, 1954 Adam was united in marriage to Dorothy Orsburn at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. While in high school, Adam worked at Okray Potatoes.

After graduation, Adam began making plans for starting his own business but in the interim, he worked at Joerns Furniture, Ablen Bock, Lullabye and Preway. From 1960 through 1980 Adam was buying and selling minnows and mayflies until he opened Plover Bait, on March 1, 1980. He retired (semi) in 2002.

Adam was a member of St. Bronislava Catholic Church, enjoyed watching the Packers, Badgers and Brewers, attending Polka dances, hunting, trapping, fishing and especially ice fishing. His greatest joy was spending time with his children and their families. He is survived by; his four wonderful children, Terrance Orlowski of Amherst, Wayne (JoAnne) Orlowski of Stevens Point, Linda (Gary) Grover of DeLand, FL and Kevin (Tracy) Orlowski of Plover; seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; siblings, Ceil (Lamar “Mickey”) Kluck, Marge (Elmer) Pliska, Mary Ann (Wayne) Minor, and Ann (Jack Autterle) Springhoff; sister-in-law, Gerri Orlowski; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by; his parents; wife Dorothy in 2005; granddaughter, Amanda; great grandson, Adam; brother, Frank; and infant sisters, Grace and Elizabeth. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Bronislava Catholic Church, 3200 Plover Rd, Plover, WI 54467 at 1:00PM on Thursday, January 10, 2019 with Rev. Ed Shuttleworth presiding.

Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 11:00AM until the time of the Mass. Adam’s family would like to thank the many, many health care professionals and their staffs for the loving care, compassion and friendship that they have shown Adam and our family.
