Addison Wheelock, 84, lifetime resident of Traverse City, passed away May 28, 2019. He was born August 29, 1934 to the late Raymond and Fontella (Flesher) Wheelock. On May 14, 1955 he married his best friend and forever soul mate Bonny Griffith and together they had two sons and owned and operated a very successful and well know business in the area, Wheelock & Sons Welding.

Not only was Addison a native to Traverse City, he was also a loyal goer of Big Boy Restaurant as well as enjoying the casino and traveling. He especially enjoyed the times when he and Bonny would winter in Bullhead City, AZ. Addison is survived and missed dearly by his sons; Addison “Sonny” (Jamie) and Randal (Sharon) as well as grandchildren; Scot, Kayce, Jessica, Keyton, Haven, Amber and their families including 13 great grandchildren.

He is also survived by his brother Arza Wheelock and sisters; Doreen (Jim) Harrison and Valerie (Gary) Sheffer. He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, his brother Kenneth and sister Elsie King. In lieu of flowers, those wishing an expression of sympathy may choose to do so with the charity of their choice.
