OBITUARY Adelard Pacheco June 22, 1929 – December 5, 2018 Adelard “Pete” Pacheco, age 89, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018 in St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the husband of Claire H. (Manchester) Pacheco. Born in New Bedford, he was the son of Joseph and Irene H. (Menard) Pacheco.

Mr. Pacheco was an Army veteran. Pete worked as a baker at Sunbeam Baking Company for over 30 years. He enjoyed doing word searches, loved to watch western movies, play solitaire, play practical jokes, but most of all he loved to sit by his wife’s side.

Survivors include 2 sons; Ronald Pacheco and his fiancé Heather Barlow of New Bedford, Daniel Pacheco of FL, 2 daughters; Carol Mandeville and her husband Robert of New Bedford, Donna LaFrance and her wife Lillian LaFrance of Hudson Falls, NY, a son in law, Stephen P. Sylvia of Acushnet. A brother, John Pacheco of New Bedford. He was predeceased by 2 daughters, Nancy Sylvia and Rita Pacheco.

He was predeceased by 5 siblings. Ronald Pacheco, Wilfred Menard, Lucille Dlugosinski, Theresa Verissimo, Simonne Francis, 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept.

142, Memphis, TN38101-9908 or www. stjude.com. His visitation will be held Monday, December 10, 2018 from 8:30 – 9:15am at ROCK Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd.

, New Bedford followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am at St. Joseph-St. Therese Parish, Acushnet Ave. , New Bedford. Burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
