OBITUARY Pauline Forand March 17, 1921 – January 28, 2019 Pauline “Polly” P. Forand, age 97, of East Freetown, passed away Monday, January 28, 2019 at Alden Court, Fairhaven. Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Romeo and Lena (Johnson) Forand, she was a life-long resident of the area and parishioner of St. John Neumann Church. A graduate of New Bedford High School, Class of 1939, she later earned a certificate at Chandler Secretarial School.

Ms. Forand worked for the New Bedford Standard Times, was an Executive Secretary at Pontiac Corp. for many years before retiring. She was an avid golfer.

Survivors include her dear friend, Patricia Ferreira of New Bedford; nephews, Michael Hogan and his wife June of Lakeville, Paul Hogan and his companion Connie Guthier of New York, Glen Hogan and his wife Katlyn of Freetown and Raymond Forand, Jr.; niece, Karen Forand; several great nephews and great nieces. She was the sister of the late Connie Hogan, Paul and Raymond Forand. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of Alden Court for the compassionate care provided to Pauline over the past five years.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 9:00 am from the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd. , New Bedford, followed by her funeral mass at 10:00 am in St. John Neumann Church, 157 Middleboro Rd. , East Freetown.

Visiting hours, Monday 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Bedford. Memorial contributions in her honor may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd.
