Obituary for Adelgunde Antonie Sakkinen Adelgunde “Toni” Sakkinen, 82, a resident of Calumet, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at UP Health System-Marquette. She was born on February 13, 1936 to Gotthard and Paulina (Bott) Stuhler in Reichmannshausen, Germany. She attended the local schools and graduated high school in Germany.
On April 4, 1961 she was united in marriage to Richard Sakkinen in Germany. Toni enjoyed bowling and cooking. Often you could find her playing Yahtzee with her mother-in-law, or else Pinnacle with the rest of her family.
She also enjoyed traveling, and spending time with her family. She was a past member of National Lutheran Church in Calumet. She is preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers, and 1 sister.
She is survived by: her husband of 57 years: Richard Sakkinen of Calumet Her children: Jon (Michelle) Sakkinen Kathy (Terry) Kemp Mark Sakkinen Scott (Amy) Sakkinen 2 grandchildren: Caitlin “Cam” Sakkinen, Jesse Sakkinen Special brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Bob (Connie) Sakkinen And numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
