OBITUARY Adolfo G. Garcia January 14, 1939 – December 25, 2018 Adolfo G. Garcia, age 79 of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on December 25, 2018. He was born in Rivera, Texas on January 14, 1939 to Antonio and Rosenda Garcia. He married Estefana Garcia whom he loved with all of his heart.

Adolfo worked as a foreman in carpentry for Progessive Structures, Zarsky, Berry, O.J. Beck and Sons and various construction sites. He also worked at the Asian Arts and Culture Museum. His last job after retirement was at the Prima Iglesia Bautista Church.

He was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He was a loving, kind, feisty, funny and a hardworking man. Our dad was a good provider, he never let us go without.

We always had a roof over our head and food on the table and more. Dad worked hard throughout his life since the age of 17 and even after retirement he chose to continue to work, always keeping busy working on other projects at home. His goals were keeping his family together and teaching us how to do the same with our families.

He was an example to us, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was one of three children, he was the youngest. As a small child he lived on a ranch in Driscoll and also went to school there.

At 17 he became a laborer and then became a professional carpenter. He was 17 when he married the love of his life and remained married to the end. He was a father to five children who loved him dearly.

He was a good loving father. He took great care of his children always meeting our needs. Dad was really funny, always joking and laughing.

He went about life always with a good attitude and without worry. Not too much could get him down, maybe when the Cowboys were losing. One thing our dad was a hardcore Dallas Cowboys Fan.

We all knew it and come game day he was in front of the T.V. ready to root for his team. Most importantly, dad loved God. He was a God loving man and went to Church at the Altar of prayer until he could not make it to church anymore.

God knew how much dad loved him and that was special. Our dad brought us great joy and happiness and he will be greatly missed. Adolfo is preceded in death by his father, Antonio Garcia; his mother, Rosenda Garcia; his brothers, Juan and Eugenio Garcia; sister, Belia Soto and grandson, Ray Garcia.

He is survived by his loving wife, Estefana Garcia; his children, Rose Ann, Rene, Adolfo Jr., Eloy and Celia; 20 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, Mikey, Jenny, Angel, Dulce, Rene, Jr., Romeo, Anthony, Adolfo,III, Valerie, Kaylee, Ady, Andrew, Mathew, Raquel, Camille, Sally, Kristi, Crystal and Rene, two chihuahuas, Lily and Daisy.
