Le preceden en muerte su padre Refugio Pruneda y madre Geronima Hernandez. Con profundo dolor le acompañan su esposa Elizabeth A. Pruneda; hijos, Adolfo Pruneda, Jr., Gerardo Alonso Pruneda+, Bonifacio Alfonso Pruneda; hijas, Sylvia Gutierrez Pruneda, y Laura Carrillo Pruneda.

Le sobreviven también sus nietos y bisnietos; además familiares y amigos. El duelo se recibe el día domingo 10 de febrero del 2019 en la funeraria Joe Jackson Heights, 719 Loring y Cortez, de las 4 hasta la 9 de la noche; con un servicio religioso a las 7 de la tarde.
