Adolph James Wagner, age 85, of Alexandria, MN, passed away Monday, July 2, 2018, at St. Cloud Hospital. Adolph J Wagner was born on May 27, 1933, in Millerville, Minnesota the son of Adolph T & Helen (Loeffler) Wagner. At the age of nine, Addie moved with his family to the family farm on Lake Latoka near Alexandria.

He graduated from Alexandria High School in 1951. On July 6, 1968 he married Judy I Anderson and together they raised their two children. Adolph was united in marriage to Janet Steadman Dale March 23, 1991 and together they enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling the U.S. and Europe.

In addition to traveling, Addie enjoyed bowling, golfing, and fishing. He was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alexandria serving on the Parish Council and the School Board. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a very proud member of the Church Choir which he joined in 1949 and was an active member of for 65 years.

Adolph was an intelligent, gentle man who loved life and always had joke to tell. He will forever be missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Mark (Bridget) Wagner and Laura (Randy) Kluver both of Osakis, MN; stepsons, John (Victoria) Dale of Alexandria, MN, Daniel Dale of Alexandria, MN and stepdaughter, Deborah (Douglas) Farm of Zimmerman, MN; grandchildren, Jared (Kathleen) Wagner, Breann (Cody) Adolphsen, Jordan Wagner, Brady Wagner, Dylan Kluver and Dalton Kluver; and his very treasured great-grandchild Paisley Adolphsen; step-grandchildren Kayla (Kyle) Jones and Rachel (Scott Halvorson) Dale; Joshua Dale, Jacob Dale, Zachary Dale, Ashley Farm, Alexa Farm and many other family members and dear friends.

Adolph was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, LaVerne Moline, Verene Wagner, Helen Osterberg and Erna Schmidtbauer; bother, Jerome Wagner and infant brother, Marion Wagner and wife Jan Wagner. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 4-7 PM, with a prayer service beginning at 4 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 2 PM with visitation one hour prior to the mass at the St. Marys Catholic Church in Alexandria.

Interment will be at the St Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Alexandria. Casket bearers are his grandsons, Dylan Kluver, Dalton Kluver, Jared Wagner, Brady Wagner, Jordan Wagner and Cody Adolphsen. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria; www.
