Agafia Leontievna Stepanova, 87, of Asheville, NC, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at the JFK Solace Center. She was born on February 5, 1931 in Taraclia, Moldova to the late Leonte Gamagii and Anna Gamagii. Agafia was a homemaker for her family.

Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Alexander Stepanov. She is survived by her sons, Sergey Stepanov (Tamara) of Asheville, Vyacestav Stepanov (Galina) of Tacoma, WA, and Vladimir Stepanov of Moldova; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11am, Thursday, June 21, 2018 in the Penland Family Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will be receiving friends at the chapel from 7pm-8pm, Wednesday, June 20, 2018. Burial will be at Green Hills Cemetery in Asheville. Penland Family Funeral Home is honored to be caring for the Stepanov/Stepanova Family.
