Obituary for Aileen Elizabeth Ryan Aileen Elizabeth Ryan Age 77 June 28, 2018 Dear daughter of the late Robert and Grace. Beloved sister of Deirdre (John) Wickenheiser , David (Trish) and the late Robert Jr. and Kathleen Jones. Sister in law of Patrick Jones.

Aileen fiercely loved her family, especially her many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was a faith filled and prayerful woman. Aileen was a brilliant woman.

She received her undergraduate from the University of Michigan and then her Masters in Mathematics’ from UofM where she was the first woman to be awarded this degree at the University of Michigan. She then received her second Masters in the Art of Teaching from the University of Detroit. Aileen was a teacher at Riverside High School from 1964-1999.

Aileen was an avid traveler. She was very proud of her Irish heritage and traveled four times to Ireland. Other travels took her to Peru, Thailand, China, and Italy.

Visitation will be at the O’Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home 41555 Grand River Novi 248-348-1800 Sunday from 2-8pm and a Funeral Liturgy will be held at the funeral home Monday at 10:00am. Interment St Hedwig Cemetery In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
