Al Smith McCutcheon passed away on October 16, 2018. Al was born in Green Bank, West Virginia in 1928. He attended Green Bank High School prior to joining the Navy at the close of World War II.

Al moved to Akron in 1950 and became a fire fighter with the Akron Fire Department. He retired from the fire department in 1981. Al is survived by 5 children, 27 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren.

Visitation will 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 18, 2018 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle). Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2018 at the funeral home with Rev.

Les Sutherland officiating. Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Haven of Rest Ministries, P.O. Box 547, Akron, OH 44309 or the charity of your choice.
