Celebration of Life for Alan Dale Hoyt, 59, will be held at later date. Alan passed unexpectedly Friday, May 3rd, 2019 at his home in Glenrock, Wyoming. Alan Dale Hoyt began his illustrious life on Monday, February 1st, 1960 in the back seat of Pontiac station wagon enroute to the hospital in Riverton, Wyoming.

He was the son of James Wesley Hoyt and Verda Mae (Hartman) Hoyt. Throughout his childhood, he lived in numerous places around Wyoming due to his father’s occupation. In 1971, his parents decided to make Meeteetse, Wyoming their permanent home after his father aided in the construction of the Lower Sunshine reservoir dam.

He graduated Meeteetse High School in 1978 and joined the United States Air Force stationed at F.E. Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He had three beautiful children Candice Nicole, Heather Marie, and Alan James. He had two grandchildren Hunter Grace, daughter of Candice and Jaxon Robert, son of Heather.

He was a jack of all trades, but his primary passion was as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed the mountains and outdoors. His favorite hobby was arrow head hunting.

At family gatherings, he was known for his famous biscuits and gravy. Alan loved to make you laugh, and had many fun loving antics. His unique giggle was contagious and was well distinguished from any other.

Alan had a very giving spirit; literally giving the shirt off his back. As a donor, in his passing, he continued his giving spirit; helping other individuals see again, overcome bone cancer, and regenerate skin for burn victims. He is survived by his three children; two grandchildren; two brothers, David Hoyt and James Hoyt Jr.; two sisters, Sheryl Dale and Valerie Pierce; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

His was preceded in death by his parents. In honor of his memory, drink a toast to him. The Gorman Funeral Homes – Converse Chapel of Douglas, Wyoming is in charge of the arrangements.
