DOUGLAS … Alan G. Thibault, 70, formerly of Whitinsville, died Tuesday, December 11, in the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence, Worcester. He is survived by his wife, Lusiya (Samkiranian) Thibault; his mother-in-law, Ann Samkiranian, a brother-in-law, Raffi Samkiranian, and his wife, Armine and niece Gohar, of Whitinsville; his aunt, Elizabeth Telian, of Van Nuys, CA; and many cousins, including Linda and Sheila Poulin, of Whitinsville. Mr. Thibault was born in Whitinsville, the son of Albert and Lucille (Houle) Thibault, and lived there until moving to Douglas in 2003.

He graduated from Northbridge High School in 1966. He was a custodian in the Northbridge Public Schools for 19 years, retiring in 2013. Previously, he worked at the former Stanley Woolen Company in Uxbridge, and the former Northbridge Processing Company.

He attended the Armenian Apostolic Church in Whitinsville, and was a diehard fan of the New York Giants, Boston Red Sox and the UCLA Bruins. Mr. Thibault’s Funeral Service will be held at 11am, Monday, December 17, in the Armenian Apostolic Church, 315 Church Street, Whitinsville. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.

Calling Hours will be 2-4pm, Sunday, December 16, in the Carr Funeral Home, 24 Hill Street, Whitinsville. Please omit flowers. Memorial donations are requested to the Whitinsville Armenian Apostolic Church.
