Alana C. Shenefield, 47, residing in Norwalk, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 9, 2018 in her home. She was born January 9, 1971 to Linda Cano (Crews). Alana moved from Florida to Ohio after the birth of her first child where she became an STNA.

She worked for various local agencies caring for the elderly and mentally and physically disabled. She was an advocate of the LGTBQ community, loved animals, music, movies, football, makeup, and life. Alana is survived by her wife, Chris “Chrissy Joe” (Johnson); son, Stephen Shenefield of Norwalk; daughter, Stephanie Shenefield of Norwalk; maternal grandfather, Franklin Crews of Ft.

Myers, FL; mother, Linda Cano (Crews) of Huron; brother, Jason Lytle of Naples, FL; sister, Tiffany Mercado of Sandusky and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Ada Joanne Crews. Family and friends may call on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, from 1 P.M. until time of funeral services at 2 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave.

, Sandusky, Ohio 44870. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery in Norwalk, Ohio. In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to Toft Funeral Home & Crematory to assist with final expenses.
