OBITUARY Albert E. Malean June 9, 1929 – December 15, 2018 Age 89, of Stanwood, WA passed away peacefully surrounded by those he loved on December 15, 2018. Albert was born to Albert and Marjorie Malean on June 9, 1929 in Spring Lake, WI. Al enlisted in the US Military at age 18 and proudly served in the US Marine Air Corps.

In 1948, he married the love of his life, Shirley Startin. Al and Shirley raised three children; Jacque, Gary and Richard. He served his community for 30 years as the owner and operator of Al’s Barbershop on 76th ave off 212th in Edmonds, WA and was a member of the Lynnwood Elk’s Lodge for 55 years.

Al retired in 1989, relocating to the Stanwood area to enjoy his retirement. Albert is survived by his wife of 70 years, Shirley Malean of Stanwood, WA; daughter, Jacque Wheeler of Scottsdale, AZ; son Gary (Jody) of Stanwood, WA; son, Richard (Tina) of Marysville, WA; eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and three brothers, Starr (Irene), Allynn, and Willard (Jean) Malean. Services for Al will be held this spring.
