Albertine’s Obituary On Wednesday, January 23rd, 2018, Mrs. Albertine (Jolicoeur) Ruggieri at the age of 87, passed away peacefully with her devoted sons gathered at her side, joining in heaven her husband Aldo D. Ruggieri who passed away in 2008 after 52 years of marriage. Born in Worcester, Albertine was the daughter of Charles “Leo” and Rose (Turcotte) Jolicoeur. Raised in Worcester, she met her future husband while dancing at the former White City Dance hall.

They married and built a home on Winneconnett Rd and raised two sons, Donald A and Robert M. Ruggieri. Besides her two sons, Albertine leaves several nieces, nephews and extended family both here and in Canada. Her husband Aldo and two brothers, Albert and Gerry Jolicoeur predeceased her.

Friends and relatives are invited to a period of calling hours Saturday, January 26th from 9 to 10 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St followed by a procession to St Anne’s Church, 130 Boston Turnpike Road, Shrewsbury where her Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am. Burial next to her husband Aldo in Worcester County Memorial Park will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St Anne’s Human Services, 130 Boston Turnpike Rd.
