Obituary for Alberto Segovia McAllen, Texas Mr. Alberto Segovia,66, entered eternal rest on Tuesday,July 2, 2018 surround by his loving family at his home in McAllen. Alberto was born on May 21, 1952 in McAllen to Juan and Blasita Segovia. Alberto was a life long resident of McAllen and a member of Our lady of Sorrows Church.
Alberto attended and graduated McAllen High School class of 1970. “Beto” as he was fondly known by his family and friends, worked for Jim Moffit Construction for more than 50 years. Beto enjoyed listening to music,especially The Beatles, and enjoyed watching movies and bar b queing with family and friends.
Beto truly enjoyed all the family gatherings he was a part of. Beto was a true Dallas Cowboys fanatic, even in their darkest hours. Beto was a loving husband,father,grandfather, and brother who will be dearly missed by his family and those lives he touched.
Beto was preceded in death by his parents, his granddaughter Sky-lynn Walters. Alberto was a loving and devoted husband to Maria C. Rodriguez Segovia for more than 42 years, a loving and devoted father to his children- Laura Segovia, Roberto C. Segovia (Margo), Cecilia Walters (Travis), Lissette Segovia (Bobby); loving and devoted brother to; Eduardo Segovia, Ramiro Segovia , Arnoldo Segovia, Juan Segovia Jr., and nine loving grandchildren-Kristen, Jaylen, Larry, Trent, Nicholas, Nathan, Natalie, Orion, and Olivia. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Rivera Funeral Home,1901 Pecan in McAllen from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 pm.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in McAllen. Cremation services will follow. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Alberto Segovia please visit our Sympathy Store.
