Obituary for Alden Joseph Bourgeois, Sr. Alden Joseph Bourgeois, Sr. age 75, passed away peacefully at his home in his sleep on Wednesday, September 19, 2018. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors, a talented woodworker and craftsman. He was born in Westwego, Louisiana and a lifelong resident of Marrero, Louisiana.

Preceded in death by his parents, the late Louis F. Bourgeois and Beatrice LeBlanc Bourgeois of Marrero, LA and one daughter-in-law, Tammy Oramous Oncale of Marrero, LA. Survived by his wife of 56 years in marriage, Emelie Brouillette Bourgeois; three sons, Alden J. Bourgeois, Jr. (Christy), Louis A. Bourgeois, David M. Bourgeois (Susan); grandchildren Brooke Bourgeois Treadaway (Jared), Matthew Bourgeois, Brock Bourgeois, Rachael Bourgeois, and Kayla Bourgeois; his brothers Richard Bourgeois (Nell) and Allen Bourgeois (Gwen) and his sister, Carolyn Bourgeois Victoriano (Greg) and sister-in-law Shirley Brouillette Prestenbach (Reed). Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 7040 Lapalco Blvd.

, Marrero, LA on Monday, September 24, 2018, from 9am to 1pm. A Funeral Mass will follow in the funeral home chapel. Interment at Westlawn Memorial Park.
