Alejandro Hernandez Beloved Husband, Father, Son, Brother and Grandfather, 65 Mr. Alejandro Hernandez, 65, of Rutherford, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. The funeral will be conducted from the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Saturday, February 2 at 8:45 a.m. There will be a Funeral Mass celebrated at St. Michael’s Church, Newark at 10:00 a.m. The entombment will be at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington. Visitation will be on Friday, February 1 from 4:00 –9:00 p.m. Mr. Hernandez was born in Camaguey, Cuba, emigrated to Miami, FL in 1967, and later resided in Rutherford, NJ.

He was the owner of America’s Fashions, in Newark for many years. He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Leyda (nee Gonzalez) Hernandez; his devoted children Irene Hernandez-Kearns and her husband Peter, Gabriella Ortega and her husband Jonathan, Margarita Mantrana and her husband Richard, and Maytee Perez and her husband Javier; his beloved father Alejandro D. Hernandez; his loving brother and loving sister Alberto Hernandez and Gricel Hernandez-Comesanas; and also his eight cherished grandchildren. Mr. Hernandez is predeceased by his mother America (nee Garcia) Hernandez.
