In loving memory of Alice Ann Massey. Alice passed away July 11, 2018 after a long struggle with dementia and stroke. Alice was born December 15, 1933 in Oakland, California.

She grew up in the Bay Area with her siblings Warren and Rosemary. She graduated from Berkeley High School. She earned her undergraduate degree from UCLA and graduate degree in Physical Therapy in New York.

She married and worked in Morocco as a Physical Therapist and then traveled throughout Europe on a Lambretta… Read More » motor scooter with her then husband. She settled in Sacramento during the early 1960’s to raise her family. She worked for Sutter Hospital as a Physical Therapist, retiring in 1998.

Alice enjoyed socializing at Sutter Lawn Tennis Club, her investment group “The Money Bags” and hiking. She was an avid traveler. Her travels included China, Panama, Ireland and Peru.

She also took several long road trips exploring the United States. She was a long-time member of Fremont Presbyterian Church and enjoyed being involved in the health ministries team at church. She was deeply loved and will be missed by her children, Keith CoBen (Karen) and Scott CoBen (Tammy) and her two grandchildren Bailey and Jack.

She is also survived by her sister Rosemary Ragen. A graveside service will be held on Friday July 20th at East Lawn Memorial Park (4300 Folsom Blvd) at 11:00AM. A viewing will be at 10:30AM Friday in the East Lawn Chapel.
