Alice Bultman Beaty November 23, 1929 – May 05, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card FLORENCE – Alice Gregg Bultman Beaty, 89, died Sunday, May 5, 2019, after an extended illness. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 10, 2019, at Christ Episcopal Church with burial following in the church cemetery. She was born in Florence, South Carolina, a daughter of the late John Kuestner and Nina Gregg Bultman.

She graduated from Francis Marion University, and spent her career working for the University. She retired in 1990 as Director of Student Financial Assistance. She was a longtime member of Christ Church, and served her church faithfully in various capacities.

She was a member of the Altar Guild and was Senior Warden. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Lang Beaty, Sr.; a sister, Louise Bultman Davies; and a brother, John Parker Bultman. Surviving are a daughter, Rives Beaty Hogan (Jack) of Florence; a son, Thomas Lang Beaty, Jr., also of Florence; two grandchildren, Rachel Hogan Davis of Cheraw, SC, and Joseph Kershaw “Kirk” Hogan of Florence; and two great-grandchildren, Robert Garner Atkinson, III, and Jack Parker Atkinson, both of Cheraw.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ Episcopal Church, P. O. Box 15036, Florence, SC 29506; or the Francis Marion University Academic Scholarship Fund, c/o Francis Marion Education Foundation, P. O. Box 100547, Florence, SC 29502.
