OBITUARY Alice G Smoot September 9, 1928 – January 28, 2019 Devoted wife of Jerome M. Smoot; loving mother of Deborah (Ben) Grudzien and Michael J. (Sheila) Smoot; proud grandmother of Brett (Stephanie) Grudzien, Mark (Karen) Grudzien, Kimberly Nowicki, Robert (fiancé Rachel) Nowicki, Matthew Smoot, Bryan (fiancé Nancy) Smoot, and Ella Smoot; cherished great-grandmother of Calvin Grudzien, Alexandra Grudzien, and Margaret Grudzien; fond aunt, sister-in-law, and friend of many. Preceded in death by, her daughter, the late Susan (Dean) Nowicki, and her siblings, the late Madge (the late Raymond) Skowronski, the late Stanley Turminski, and the late Lillian (the late John) Niemiera. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 31st, at 9:30am from Ridge Funeral Home, 6620 West Archer Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60638, to St. Daniel the Prophet Catholic Church for funeral mass at 10:00am.
