Alice Maxine Carter Lovett, 80, of Hamburg, died Thursday, March 7, 2019, at the Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. Mrs. Lovett was a native and lifelong resident of Hamburg and Ashley County and a resident of Springdale for the past two years. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.

After being diagnosed with polio at age 12, she did not allow her disability to stop her! She married the man of her dreams and raised 3 children. Mrs. Lovett always thought of everyone else before herself and had a friendly word and smile for everyone.

She never met a stranger and loved people. Mrs. Lovett enjoyed being the first to send Christmas cards before Thanksgiving, seeing the color changes in the fall and watching her birds at the bird feeder. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Arthur E. and Allie M. Carpenter Carter and a brother, Robby Carter.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Raymond Dale Lovett of Springdale, formerly of Hamburg; three children, Judy Lovett Renfro of Hot Springs, Kenneth Lovett, and wife, Melissa, of Fayetteville, and Glenn Lovett and wife, Tammy, of Mineola, Texas; her brother, Bro. Jerry Carter and wife, Clara, of Hamburg; eight grandchildren, Mandi Carman and husband, Bryant, of Prescott, Heather Pack of Camden, Josh Lovett and fiancé, Courtney Lee, of Bentonville, Jordan Tollett and husband, Tyler, of Little Rock, Noel Lovett of Mineola, Texas, Will Lovett of Fayetteville, Bella Lovett and Triston Lovett both of Mineola, Texas; five great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends. Funeral services are 2 p.m., Sunday, March 10, 2019, at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church with Bro.

Barry Carter and Bro. Micah Carter officiating. Burial will be in the Promise Land Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Josh Lovett, Will Lovett, Dennis Carter, Ryan Carter, Carter Hinkle and Kameron Easttam. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Jones, Ronnie Nelms, Kenny Leigh, Coley Lovett, Pat Holland, Teddy Hickman, Elmer Pullin, Bryson Carter, Braxton Hooks, Triston Lovett, Walker Carter, Tommy Pullin, Paul Johnson, Ruel Henry and David Carter. Memorials may be made to the Promise Land Cemetery Association, c/o Kacie Wallace, PO Box 509, Hamburg, AR 71646.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
