Obituary for Alicia Lopez Alicia Lopez, 64, beloved Mother and 22-year breast cancer survivor was called to her eternal resting place on September 21, 2018 after succumbing to ovarian cancer after a 10 year battle. She entered this world on September 24, 1953 in El Paso, TX, born to Vicente and Bertha Munoz. She is survived by her daughter Shirley Gomez, son-in-law Joe Gomez, grandson Carlos Gomez, brothers Hector Munoz, Martin Munoz, and Javier Munoz.

Alicia and her family would like to give special thanks to: Dr Shahinian, Mrs. Shahinian, nurses and staff for their many years of contributing to the fight; the Tigua Indian Tribal Council and staff for their support and friendship through the years; to Ricardo Barajas, for the many years of treatment throughout her fight; and to her Taco Cabana friends and “Las del Coro”, for their unwavering friendship during difficult times. Visitation will be held Monday, October 1, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas with Vigil/Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Services for Alicia will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery in El Paso, Texas.
