Alicia’s Obituary Alicia D. Smith-Miles, 36, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2019. Alicia was born on May 14, 1982, in Sedalia, MO, the daughter of Edward Smith and Pamela Dula. She attended Warrensburg High School, and was most recently working as a medical assistant and claims processor for Rose International.

She married Douglas Miles, Jr. in Jefferson City, where they resided for the past several years. Alicia was a loving wife, daughter, sister, and auntie, who was full of life and laughter. She enjoyed hiking and swimming, walking her dogs, making healthy meals, and painting her nails.

She made very special memories when she got to travel to Indiana, Texas, and Mexico. She is loved and will be dearly missed. Alicia is survived by her husband, Douglas Miles, Jr.; step-daughter, Shanti Miles; mother, Pamela Dula (Timothy); father, Edward Smith (Misty); siblings, Yolanda Maupins (Robert Wilkerson), Christopher Bartlett, Joey Smith, Shane Smith, Steven Bartlett, Matthew Smith, Timothy Smith, Alicia Adair, Kristina Adair, and Emma Adair; 23 nieces & nephews; one great-niece and one great-nephew; many extended family and friends; and two beloved dogs, Bae and Renegade.

She was preceded in death by two grandmothers, one grandfather, two nieces, one nephew, and two uncles. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 4, at 10am, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service in Mount Olive Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 5-7pm Friday, May 3, at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Alicia Smith-Miles Memorial Fund. Checks may be made payable to Edward Smith and can be left in care of the funeral home.
