Allan Reinhold Lepp, 95, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019. He was born in Fitchburg on Dec.

7, 1923 to Matti and Lydia Leppaniemi. He was married to his wife Gertrude for 64 years before she died in 2013. He leaves 4 children, Eric Lepp and wife Karen, Sandra Serfass and husband Ted, Kristen Kieda, and Matthew Lepp, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He graduated from Fitchburg High School in 1942. Allan served in the Navy during WWII on the SS Sahale, which was sunk at Normandy as part of a breakwater. He was employed at GE for 37 years, was a member of CW Moore Lodge of Masons, a charter member of the Finnish American Club of Saima, and a member of the WWII Armed Guard Veterans.

He enjoyed sports of all kinds, especially golf and alpine skiing. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2:00 P.M. at the Leominster United Methodist Church, 77 Hall St. Leominster.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 Bosk Funeral Home is assisting the family.
