Obituary for Alma Ilene Brooks Alma Ilene Brooks was born on July 16, 1925, a daughter to the late Quincy Sumpter and the late Rosie (Parks) Sumpter. On September 13, 1946, she was united in marriage to Clyde K. Brooks and they shared seventy-two years together. Alma passed away on November 7, 2018 at Stonecrest Healthcare, Inc. having reached ninety-three years of age.

Alma will be missed by all who knew and loved her including her beloved husband, Clyde Brooks; daughter, Dixie (Carl “Bill”) Meyer; three brothers: Sam Sumpter, Ray (Marion) Sumpter, and Willard (Trudy) Sumpter; sister, Fern (Jim) Thompson; three grandchildren: Becky (John) VanOstran, Pat (Stephanie) Meyer, and James (Megan) Meyer; six great grandchildren; and many dear nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Alma is preceded in death by her daughter, Dorothy Brooks; and several brothers and sisters. Visitation for Alma will be held on Monday, November 12, 2018 at DeClue Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.

Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM with Pastor Paul Davis officiating. Interment and final prayers will be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
