She was the 5th child born to Lola and James Goodwill. She attended Acadia Parish Training School in Rayne, La.

After completing High School, Alnetta went to live with her sister, Ruby and her husband, Rev. Martin Redmon in Houston. She met Lorenza Spencer.

In 1952, they married. To this union two sons were born Lionel and Ronald. Alnetta united with Antioch Baptist Church where she diligently served on the Usher Board until her health beginning to fail her.

In 2011, Alnetta united with Gospel Hill Baptist Church under the leadership of her son, Rev. L.H. Spencer Sr. Alnetta worked as a cook in Houston Independent School District for 28 years. She retired in 1988.

She enjoyed cooking special desserts for every holiday. She also enjoyed sewing and designing clothes. Alnetta had a green thumb.

She worked long hours in her yard, planting and caring for her plants. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Ruby; brothers: James, Joseph, Sherman, and Clarence. Alnetta will be dearly missed by her sons: Rev.

Lionel H. Spencer Sr. (Doretha) and Ronald J. Spencer Sr.; six grandchildren: Lionel II, Ronald Jr., Rodney, Ramon, Daniel, Danette, five great grandchildren, sister – Elnora Washington of Detroit, Michigan, nieces, nephews, and a host of loving relatives and friends. Visitation: Friday, March 8, 2019, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm at Antioch Miss. Baptist Church.

Funeral Service : Saturday, March 9, 2019, 11:00 am at Antioch Miss. Bapt. Church at 5902 Beall Street Rev.
