Alpha Omega Mandeville passed from this life on February 13, 2019 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 91 years. Alpha was born August 25, 1927 in Tuskegee, Oklahoma to parents Buel Gregory and Lela Dunaviant Gregory. Alpha left home at 13 years old and went to work at S. H. Kress & Co. in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

She worked there until 1950, when she relocated to Huntington Park, California and opened a new S.H. Kress. She met her late husband Louis Charles Mandeville in 1951 and they married in 1952, in Las Vegas, Nevada on February 1, 1952. They had a son, Morris Thomas Mandeville in 1954.

Alpha never had a ticket or car accident. She is survived by her son, Morris T. Mandeville wife Cherry, grandchildren Jennifer Silkey (Mandeville) her husband Jeremiah, great-grandchild Jazmine Faith-Joylyn Silkey, sister Ina, numerous nieces and nephews along with great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis, daughter-in-law Linda, grandson Louis Mandeville, parents Buel and Lela Gregory, siblings Zelma Pittman, Darlene Sharp, Delora Hamilton, Freida Gregory, Lever Mae Gregory, Cecil Gregory, Bill Gregory, A.T. Gregory, E. B. Gregory, Willard Gregory, Charles Gregory, Vernon Gregory and Travis Ray Gregory.
