Amelia “Mim” Gombar, 90, of Moon Township passed on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Heritage Valley Hospital, Sewickley. Mim was born November 26, 1927 in Throop, PA; daughter of the late Peter and Elizabeth (Payavis) Nazinskas. Beloved wife of 70 years to Thomas A. Gombar; loving mother to her two children, Thomas J. Gombar of Ruffs Dale, PA and Judy (Edward) Richer of Moon Township; her two grandchildren, Taylor Gombar of Denver, CO and Linah Richer of Isslington, UK; sister of Margaret Baranowski of Throop, PA, and numerous nieces, nephews and beloved extended family members.

Mim was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Moon Township, a member of the Christian Mothers Group and troop leader of the Catholic Daughters. She was a very creative and artistic woman who enjoyed painting, sewing, crafting and cooking.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Moon Township on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 9:30 AM. Inurnment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Moon Township. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1 Parish Place, Moon Township, PA 15108.
