Anabel Harner, 91, of Clearwater, Florida, went home to heaven peacefully in her sleep at home on April 28, 2018. She was born Anabel Zinn on February 11, 1927, in Lansing, Michigan to Elizabeth (Thomas) and Franklin Roy Zinn. Her spouse, Bruce Harner, was born in Red Knob, West Virginia on September 16, 1926.

They were married on June 16, 1952 in Alma, Michigan, and enjoyed a loving and committed marriage for over 65 years. Anabel worked as a licensed practical nurse before marriage, and later, owned a successful child care business. But the joy of her life was raising her 3 daughters, Becky, Rita, and Amy.

She stayed actively involved in church, serving others, most of her life. Her hospitality and generosity were known to family and friends alike. Her unconditional love demonstrated God’s goodness to others, and impacted many in her family and community throughout her life.

She is survived by her loving husband, Bruce; daughters, Rebecca (Bill) Dunn of Florida and Rita (Art) Pino of California; 10 step-grandchildren, 9 step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty DiVivo and Myrna Boyd; and brother, James Zinn. Anabel was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Amy Louise Harner; parents, Roy and Elizabeth Zinn; in-laws, Fred and Belva Harner; brothers, Lee Zinn, Donald Zinn, and Harold Zinn; and sisters, Marjorie Stoneman, Yvonne Wolfgang, and Marilyn Miller. A visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Monday, May 7 and 10-11 AM on Tuesday May 8 at the David C. Gross Funeral Home, 830 N. Belcher Road, Clearwater.

Funeral services will begin on Tuesday, May 8 at 11 AM officiated by Pastor Jim Bristow. Private burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Suncoast Hospice, website: suncoasthospicefoundation.org/donations/.

Many thanks to the staff, especially the wonderful yellow team, for providing such great care for Anabel. Life is good here, better there. We celebrate her home-going, but she will be missed.
