Obituary for Anastasia Riebel (Evans) Dateline: Clifton Park, NY Anastasia E. Riebel, age 85, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Sunday, September 9, 2018. She was born on September 25, 1932 in Syracuse, NY and was the daughter of the late Stephen and Thalia Evans. Anastasia graduated from Syracuse Central High School and began working at Merchants Bank.

She married her husband, George, in September 1962 and headed west to California where she worked for an LA bank and General Electric. The married couple came back to NY where Anne was office manager for her husband’s architectural firm. After raising their two children, she spent ten years working for the NYS Insurance Department.

In addition to working outside the home, Anne was an impeccable homemaker and loving wife and mother. She enjoyed playing the piano, listening to music and reading as well as traveling to the beach and visiting new places. Anastasia leaves behind her loving husband of 56 years, son Andrew (Judith) Riebel and daughter Kristen (Dennis) Schahczenski, grandchildren Sarah, Stephanie, Christopher and Samantha.

She was the caring sister of Virginia Cappuccilli and late sister Victoria Drozdal. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Thursday, September 13, 2018 from 2:00 PM- 4:00 PM at Townley & Wheeler Funeral Home, 21 Midline Road, Ballston Lake, NY. Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 4:00 PM at the funeral home.

Interment will be private in Jonesville Cemetery, Clifton Park, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to American Heart Association, 440 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205. Visit www.
