Andrea Janett Warner, 52, died peacefully and unexpectedly at her home in Sandy, UT on February 28, 2019. Andrea is survived by her beloved children, Noah James Mismash and his wife Emma Marie Bearman Mismash, Simeon Andrew Mismash, Eden Belle Janett Mismash, Judah David Mismash and James Scout Mismash, all of Sandy, UT. Although she was born in Salt Lake City and a lifelong Utah resident, aside from a few years in Japan and Colorado, Andrea adored traveling and visited dozens of countries for work and pleasure, including most of Europe, the UK, Eastern Europe, Turkey, Asia and Australia.

She adored old cities and historic buildings. She shared this love with friends and family, some of whom would not have had such extraordinary experiences without her enthusiastic companionship. Everywhere she went, Andrea made friends, often lifelong ones.

She met millionaires, farmers, artists, small business owners, homemakers, taxi drivers, and even an English Earl with whom she shared an ancestor. Her outgoing and sunny nature lightened hearts around the world. Her other loves were learning to use new apps and technologies, home decorating, going to live rock and pop concerts, the colors pink and lavender, Asian pears, horses, gorgeous scarves, sparkly clothes and comfy shoes, and sharing photographs of the most beautiful things she saw in the world.

Andrea had a BA and a Masters in Special Education from the University of Utah. Her wide-ranging career included teaching English in rural Japan, helping people with disabilities transition from school to adult life in the Salt Lake, Murray and Canyon School Districts in Utah, and serving as Publisher for WhichTestWon, a professional publication and symposium with 45,000 executive readers in companies around the globe including eBay, Amazon and Google. In recent years, her goal was to use her online marketing expertise to improve the world.

So, she assisted local political candidates in Utah and Rhode Island win their first offices, as well as helping a charity flower farm with its first online fundraisers. Andrea will be missed by thousands around the globe who benefited from her professional expertise. She is also survived by her siblings, Paula Warner of Joseph, UT, Dr. Don Warner of Boise, ID, Sabrina Higdon of Sandpoint, ID, Chad Warner of Savannah, GA, Ted Warner of Lopez Island, WA and Dr. Jonathan Nicholas Warner of Arcadia, CA; as well as her parents Janett Warner of Lopez Island, WA and Ray Warner of Riverton, UT.

She is preceded in death by her brother, David Warner. The family plans to hold a remembrance celebration on Saturday, March 9, 2019, at the Hillcrest LDS Stake Center, 8485 S. 1000 E., Sandy, UT, 84094 beginning at 5:00 pm. In lieu of flowers please make donations to: Andrea Warner’s Scleroderma Memorial Fund.
