Andrew J. Elegeer, 74 years, of Bryan, passed away Friday, March 22, 2019 at Genesis HealthCare-Bryan Center in the company of his family. Andrew was born February 24, 1945 in Wauseon, Ohio, the son of the late Joseph R. and E. Irene (Clark) Elegeer. He was a 1963 graduate of Bryan High School.

Andrew was an Army veteran, serving during the Viet Nam Era, receiving the Purple Heart. He married Beth Kristine Lirot on February 3, 1967 in Crown Pointe, Indiana, and she preceded him in death on May 10, 2010. Andrew worked for Bard Manufacturing for many years.

He was a member of Grace Community Church and the Bryan VFW Post 2489. Andrew enjoyed flying kites and gardening. He truly treasured the time he could spend with his children and grandchildren and his extended family making memories.

Surviving are his two daughters, Amy (Anthony) Radabaugh of Edgerton and Connie Jo Elegeer of Columbus, Ohio; two grandsons, William Radabaugh and Jimmy (Tricia) Radabaugh; four step-grandchildren, Jennifer Radabaugh, Brooke (Troy) Moyer, Becky Radabaugh and Phillip Radabaugh; three great-grandchildren, Marley, Parker and Maddox Moyer; one brother, Randy (Connie) Elegeer of Bryan. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Beth, one son, Andy Joe Elegeer, two brothers-in-law, Bob Spragg and Kevin Lirot. Visitation for Andrew J. Elegeer will be held on Monday, March 25, 2019 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2019 with Chaplin Jolly Davis officiating.

Interment will Military Graveside Rites will be accorded by the Bryan VFW Post 2489 will take place in Shiffler Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions be made to Genesis HealthCare-Bryan Center, 1104 Wesley Avenue, Bryan, Ohio 43506.
