K. Andrew McVey, 66, of Logansport, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018 in his residence. Born on August 2, 1951, in Covington, KY, he was the son to the late Kenneth Andrew McVey Sr. and Lillian Sadler McVey. On June 21, 1973 in Mitchell, South Dakota he married Sharon Hegwood who survives.

In August of 1986 he married Judy Brown who also survives. Andrew was a retired over the road truck driver for Crete Carrier Corp. , and was very proud of having achieved over 10 million safe miles during his career.

Andrew spent his teenage years living in Brazil as a missionary kid. He never knew a stranger and loved to meet new people. He was very musically talented and could pick up just about any instrument and play it.

Andrew was enjoying his retirement by traveling and seeing his friends and family. He loved listening to music and almost always had a shirt pocket full of pens. Coffee was an important part of his morning, he would typically enjoy two pots every morning, followed closely by his iced tea and Mountain Dew.

Andrew was also a man of many trades and could fix almost anything. Surviving Andrews is a son, Benjamin (Meana) McVey, Lebanon, IN; daughter, LaVerna (Tim) Anderson, Chugwater, WY; step sons, Juston Fike; Jeremy Fike; Jason (Jenny) Fike, all of Indiana; special companion, Deb Binford, Logansport; grandchildren, Tanner McVey, Lebanon; Ashley Burtner, Fishers; Daniel (Breanna) Ellington, Lebanon; Maggie (Brandon) Savage, Powell, TN; Timothy Anderson Jr. Chugwater, WY; Elizabeth Anderson, Gateway, MT; Kaitlin Anderson and Breanna Anderson, both of Chugwater, WY; several great grandchildren; brother, Gordon (Nubia) McVey, Waverly, IN; sister, Mary Beth Ross, Bedford, IN; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister Edith Dorman.

A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 pm Tuesday June 12, 2018 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Van Dorman officiating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until time of services on Tuesday. You may sign the guestbook and send online condolences for Andrew family at www.
