LA JOYA – Angel Luz Esquivel, 81, left to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 10, 2019, at Amara Hospice in Edinburg, Texas. Mr. Esquivel was born in La Joya, Texas on January 26, 1938 to Juanita and Marcelino Esquivel. Mr. Esquivel is preceded in death by his son, Jose Roberto Esquivel.

Mr. Esquivel is survived by his loving wife, Maria A. Esquivel, and their children, Rodrigo Esquivel, Ramiro (San Juanita) Esquivel, Rumaldo (Maria Anita) Esquivel, and Rebecca (Juan Carlos) Navarro. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at the Lord and I Memorial Chapel in Peñitas, Texas.

Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at the Lord and I Memorial Chapel in Peñitas, Texas. Interment will follow to La Joya City Cemetery in La Joya, Texas. Funeral services are under the direction of the Lord and I Funeral Home of Peñitas, Texas.
