Angela’s Obituary Angela K. Layman, 71, passed away on May 3, 2019 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on March 9, 1948 in Butler, Alabama to C. B. Gilbert Jr. and Vivian Strickland. She was preceded in death by her father, C. B. Gilbert Jr. and her son, James Taylor.

She is survived by her loving husband, Leonard Layman, her children; Amy Herrera, Shane Taylor and Robert Holmes, as well as numerous Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. Angela K. Layman was fun loving and adventurous. Along with her husband she loved to volunteer her time in supporting veteran programs at Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Post.

She lit up every room she walked in and every moment she spent with others was filled with love and laughter. The time spent with her grandchildren and great-grand children showed how young she was at heart as joy and laughter always filled the room. She will be missed and remembered for the life she lived and the love she gave.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 from 12:00pm to 9:00pm, with a recited Rosary at 7:00pm at Castle Ridge Mortuary. A chapel service will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 11:30am at Castle Ridge Mortuary with Interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
