Angelo J. Thomas, 85, of Canonsburg, died Wednesday, February 6, 2019. He was born October 5, 1933 in Tyre, a son of William Thomas (Guiseppe DiTomasso) and Mary Pradetto Thomas. On January 16, 1960, in First Presbyterian Church of Canonsburg, Angelo married Hannelore Scheuer, his wife of 59 years, who survives.

He was Protestant by faith. Prior to his retirement, he worked at McGraw Edison/Cooper Industries, for 36 years. Later he was employed by Canon McMillan School District for 17 years.

Angelo enjoyed baseball, but especially enjoyed playing ball with his grandchildren and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Andrea Thomas, and Lorie (John) Trax, both of Canonsburg, one brother, Dr. Carl (Vincena) Thomas of Canonsburg; brother-in-law, Karl-Heinz (Liselotte) Scheuer, of Ulm, Germany, four grandchildren, Brandon, Matthew, Michael, Hannah, nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Friday, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm at the Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, J. David Sollon, director, 724-746-1000.

Services will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at 11 am in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery. Please visit www.
