OBITUARY Angelo James Tarver Sr. August 1, 1976 – July 13, 2018 Angelo James Tarver, Sr., age 41, known to those who loved him as “Jimmy,” entered the great hall of Valhalla on June 13, 2018. He departed this earth unexpectedly, but peacefully, in the home he shared with the love of his life, Bethany France. Jimmy had a Viking-sized heart and gave selflessly to any friend in need.

His great big laugh, unique taste in music, and iconic T-shirt collection will be missed by all who knew him. He now resides forever with Odin, a pint of Guinness in one hand and a flask of Jameson in the other, reunited with his sister Jacky Ham and no doubt bringing down the house in Asgard. Jimmy is survived by his devoted wife, Bethany France; his son and pride and joy, A.J. Tarver; Bethany’s children, Abigail and Lucas France, whom he loved as his own; his cherished dogs Lafitte, Matilda, Rocky and Leonard; father, Cecil Tarver; brothers, Nathan and his wife, Rachel and their daughter, Taygan, and Jeffery Tarver and fiancé, Tallie Langston; sisters, Sonja and Cecilia Tarver; his beloved aunt, Leah Forman; in-laws, Ralph King and Donna King who loved him like a son; and many other family members and friends who will forever miss him.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his honor to Capital City Alliance or any other organization that supports love and equality for all, something Jimmy believed very deeply in – www. ccabatonrouge.org. Greenoaks Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
