OBITUARY Angelo John Ivie January 8, 1953 – September 19, 2018 Angelo “Rocky” Ivie, 65, went to his heavenly home Wednesday, September 19,2018 at High Point Regional Hospital. Rocky was born in San Antonio, TX, January 8, 1953, a son of the late Pete Callella and Victoria Gonzales Ivie. He proudly and honorably served in the United States Marine Corp for twenty years.

He was an accomplished carpenter and owned and operated Rocky Handyman Rocky was an exceptional husband, father, Papa and friend. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed buying and selling at flea markets and yard sales. Rocky was of the Catholic faith.

He was preceded in death by a brother, David and a sister, Dora. Surviving are his wife of 15 years, Gerri Ivie; two daughters, Amii Simpson and husband Chip, Virginia Ivie; a son, Angelo Ivie, Jr.; three sisters, Gloria Murphy, Rosa Bridwell, and Janie Diaz; a brother, Gilbert Ivie; grandchildren, Spencer, Chloe, Noah, Kaylana, Joshua, Mason and Nene. A Celebration of Rocky’s life will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at his residence from 3 until 7 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Hope for Warriors.
