OBITUARY Russel Lee Mann Jr. June 6, 1947 – October 25, 2018 Russel Lee Mann, Jr., 71, of High Point, North Carolina passed away peacefully on the evening of October 25th, 2018. Born on June 6th, 1947, Russ was the son of Russel Lee Mann, Sr. and Julia Harris Rives Mann of Sanford, NC. He was preceded in death by both parents.

Russ was a graduate of Sanford Central High School in Sanford, NC and received his Bachelor’s of Science in Chemistry from Guilford College in Greensboro, NC. He was an avid and long term active member of the Christ United Methodist Church Family of High Point, NC. Russ was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War with the United States Air Force from 1969 to 1973.

Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Sungwan Mann; brothers, Thomas Hill Mann, and his wife Jane; Raymond Tucker Mann, and his wife, Karen; sons, Russel Lee Mann III, and his wife Jennifer, of Raleigh, NC; Chalermchai Mann of High Point, NC; daughter, Surin Mann Nguyen of Charlotte, NC. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Victoria Nguyen Chavis, and her husband Jordan, of Durham, NC, and Sabrina Cassidy Mann of Baltimore, MD. Reverend Keith ton, Reverend Jeff Martin and his cousin, Reverend William Joseph Mann, will conduct services at Christ United Methodist Church at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 28th.

A graveside burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park in Greensboro, NC. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Sechrest Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hamil Kerr Challenge Foundation for Parkinson’s through Jamestown Presbyterian Church at P.O. Box 1963, Jamestown, NC 27282-1963.
