OBITUARY Hall Gamewell Penninger Jr. May 23, 1933 – October 13, 2018 High Point, NC Hall G. Penninger, Jr., 85, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018. Hall was born in Harrisburg, May 23, 1933, a son of the late Hall and Martha Penninger. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean conflict.

Hall worked in commercial construction for many years and was an auctioneer. He was a member of Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Helen Penninger; a daughter, Shelley Nichols; a son, Hall Gerald Penninger; step-daughter, Joni Vanderslice; step-son, Darrell Wheeler; three grandsons, four step-granddaughters; six great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

A Celebration of Hall’s life will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. Mark Hollar. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday from 12 noon until the service. Memorials may be directed to Our Mission National Kidney Foundation, www. kidney.org.
