Ms. Anita Marie Proveaux, 59, of Walterboro, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018 at her residence. A memorial service will be held at 5 o’clock, Thursday afternoon, June 7, 2018 at The Brice Herndon Funeral Home, Walterboro Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

Born November 3, 1958 in Spartanburg, she was a daughter of the late Lee Edward Proveaux and Florence Ann High Proveaux. She served her country in the United States Army and was a fork lift operator for Sunland Logistics. She loved fishing, sports, watching Netflix (especially forensic shows like SVU), and playing the lottery.

Most of all, she loved life, loved her family, and never met a stranger no matter where she went. Surviving are: her daughter, Nichole Nichols and her husband Chris of Ladson; grandson, Caleb Nichols of Ladson; sisters, Tina Lee of Walterboro and Donna Myers and her husband Robert of Smoaks; brothers, Micky Proveaux and his wife Loretta of Hemingway and Arnold Proveaux of Walterboro; nieces and nephews, Jessica, Jennifer, Randi, Chris, Cory, Amanda, Erick and Derick; and great nieces and nephews, Sarah, Graycie, Olivia, Robbie, Lacy, Amira, Amir, Za-Za, A.Z., Jubal, Sadie, Avery, Hayden, Harlen, Gabe, and her precious Gabby. She was preceded in death by a nephew, Bubba; and a great niece, Cheyanne.
