Ann Gertano, 60, of Black Mountain passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Parkridge Advent Health in Fletcher, NC. Born October 31, 1958 in Oakland, CA, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Marian Terry. She was an alumnus of Cal Baptist University where she received her master’s degree in psychology.

Ann was a talented artist and jeweler often times lending her talents as gifts for friends and family. Ann was also an ordained minister who performed marriage ceremonies for friends. She was a radiant soul that will be missed.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Lee Terry. Surviving are her children, Janel Klews and her spouse, Michael, of Springfield, OR, Richard Erving and his spouse, Sydnee, of Yucaipa, CA, and Anthony Gertano of Highland, CA; siblings, Bill Terry, Carol Martin and her spouse, Nicholas, and Kathleen Wilson and her spouse, Jeff, all of the Bay Area in California; and four wonderful grandchildren, Cody, Owen, Lily, and Maddox. Ann was avid supporter in substance abuse recovery and in keeping with her wishes, please make a donation to a charity of your choice in this related field.
