Barbara Jean Lance Rigsby, 66, a lifetime resident of Rosman, North Carolina, passed away, Thursday, March 14, 2019, at her residence. Barbara was born to Reba Clayton Lance and to the late Frank Gordon Lance. Barbara attended Rosman Church of God.

She loved fishing and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed. In addition to her father, Barbara was preceded in death by her children’s father and the love of her life, James Michael Rigsby Sr., along with their daughter Crystal Yvonne Rigsby.

Those left to cherish her memory include a daughter, Angie Rigsby of Rosman; a son, Jamie Rigsby of Rosman; her mother, Reba Lance of Rosman; three sisters, Eloise Mooneyham of Seneca, South Carolina, Ellen Leopard of Brevard, and Rosemary Wich of Brevard; three brothers, Eddie Lance of Brevard, Jimmy Lance of Rosman, and Charles “Doc” Lance of Rosman; a grandson, Peighton Rigsby; and a granddaughter, Christa Rigsby, both of Rosman; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 23, 2019, at Rosman Church of God with Pastors Mike Pressley and Gary McCarter officiating. Burial will follow at Old Toxaway Cemetery.

Pentecostal Lighthouse will be providing dinner after the burial at the fellowship hall of Rosman Church of God. The family wishes to express sincere thanks to everyone for your continued thoughts and prayers. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.
