OBITUARY Ann M Koncer April 20, 1937 – December 8, 2018 Ann Mabel Koncer- Barefoot, 81 a lifelong resident of Berkeley County passed away from this life on December 8, 2018 at the Inpatient facility of Hospice to be with her Lord. Ann was born April 20, 1937 in Martinsburg and was the daughter of Charles M. Brown and Emily A. Brown. She is survived by her husband, Fred Barefoot; children: Diane Wood, Donald Wood, Ronald, and wife Yvonne Wood; step children: Dean Barefoot ,and wife Donna, Donna Gunderman, and Darlene Hill; grandchildren: Robert Ruppenthal and wife Jennifer, Rebecca McGruder and husband Wayne, Jonathon Wood, Ashley Wood, Matthew Wood, Nicholas Wood, Derek Barefoot, and David Barefoot; great-grandchildren: Owen Ruppenthal, Abigail Ruppenthal, Mariah McGruder, Autumn McGruder, Alicia McGruder, and Sidney McGruder; brother: Charles T. Brown and wife Linda.

Ann attended Westview Baptist Church in Martinsburg and Snyder’s Church in Hedgesville. She retired from Corning Glass after 34 years of service, and then worked nearly 10 years at Martins Grocery in the floral department. Ann was locally known for her floral arrangements and has been a talented artist for years, doing folk style paintings and Toleware.

She was quite active in numerous civic organizations too, serving as County President of CEO for 3 years and Secretary of the Corning Retirement Committee, DAR, and Perennial Garden Club. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Cecil Wood. Family will receive friends Thursday December 13, 2018 at 10:00 am until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 am.

The interment will be private. In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations can be made to Hospice of the Panhandle 330 Hospice Lane Kearneysville 25443 or Meals on Wheels 116 East King Street Martinsburg WV 25401. Condolences may be sent to www.
