OBITUARY Ann Schneider January 1, 1937 – January 30, 2019 Catherine Ann Bynum Schneider 1937-2019 Ann Schneider, 82, of Abilene, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2019. She was born January 1, 1937 in Abilene, Texas to Raymond and Mary Catherine Bynum. She spent her childhood in Abilene, Texas, where she followed in her father’s footsteps to become a music educator.

She graduated from McMurry University, where her father was the Band Director. Her father, Prof. Bynum, started the first marching band in the South.

Ann married the love of her life, Louis I. Schneider, Junior, on June 26, 1965, in Abilene, Texas. They started their lives together in Midland, Texas where she taught elementary school and played the organ for the church. They moved to Houston, Texas, a few years later and started a family.

They started a family and welcomed their daughter, Suzanne Lewis, in 1970. She was a dedicated and loving mother and wife who will be deeply missed. Her friends and family will always remember her as a kind, gentle, devoted, and compassionate woman.

She was a very active member of Central Presbyterian Church and Grace Presbyterian Church. She used her musical talents to serve her churches by playing the piano. Ann leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, Louis Schneider; daughter, Suzanne Lewis, and nephew, Geoff Bynum.

Ann is also survived by her brother, William Bynum and sister, Sue Bynum Avary; her nephews Jonathan Bynum and Chris Avary and cherished grandchildren Dillon and Kylie Lewis, Brooke Jaszczak, Jamie Morden, Lindsey McNally, and Rachel Bynum; her first great-grandchild Walter James Morden. She is preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Bynum. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 11, 2019 at 11:00 am at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery.

A reception will be held immediately after service.
