Ann Sykes, 91, passed away on Wednesday May 15, 2019 at the Presbyterian Home of Hawfields. She was the wife of the late W.D. Sykes Jr. and daughter of the late William McKinley “Bud” Williamson and Beulah Williamson Webb. She was a former employee of First Savings and Loan, member of Mebane Presbyterian Church, and served as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, Bloodmobile and the Presbyterian Home of Hawfields for more than 25 years.

She is survived by her sons; Keith Sykes (Susan) of Raleigh and David Sykes (Cindy) of Mebane, sister; Nancy Lancaster (Jack) of Mebane, granddaughters; Erin Johnson, Christy Walker, Lindsay Pinto, Elizabeth Sykes and five great grandchildren. Other than her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her brothers; Frank, Vernon, Jack and Hal Williamson. A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Friday May 17, 2019 in the McClure Funeral Chapel in Mebane with the Rev.

Dr. Jeffery Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2 Friday at the funeral prior to the service. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

The family would like to send special thanks to the staff at the Presbyterian Home of Hawfields for their love and care of their mother during her time there. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mebane Presbyterian Church 402 S 5th St, Mebane, NC 27302.
