Anna’s Obituary Holden Yadkinville- Mrs. Anna Hoots Holden, 73, of Courtney/Huntsville Road passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. She was born August 15, 1945 in Yadkin County to the late John Ray and Gladys Gough Hoots. Mrs. Holden was retired from Lucent Technologies, formerly known as A.T. & T, and Western Electric, with 34 years of service.

She was a faithful life member of Deep Creek Baptist Church where she served the church as a Teacher with Children’s Church for several years. She was a loving and devoted, wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker that enjoyed working in her flowers, vegetable garden, and cooking for wonderful family. Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Charles Holden, of the home; her daughter, Ashley Gough and husband, John; sister, Joan Wooten and husband, Mark; sister-in-law, Patsy Booe, and husband, June; grandchildren, Blake Shore, Katie Sealey, Bradley Gough; nieces and nephews, Caswell (Amanda) Booe, Jenna (Jermey) Brown, Tyler (Carly) Wooten.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 PM Friday at Deep Creek Baptist Church. Her Funeral Service will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM Friday in Deep Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Brady Morrison and Chaplain Charlie Patrick, officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either Deep Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 2400 Old Stage Road, Yadkinville, NC 27055 or to Trellis Hospice Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff of Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Dr. Paul Savage and staff, and to the nurses and staff of Trellis Hospice for all the loving care and support provided to them and to Mrs. Holden.
